ASL V5 GA Version: 5.005 ISO image

Astaro is pleased to announce the availability of the Astaro Security Linux V5 General Availability Release. Thanks to anybody on this board who contributed to this release! We received helpfull feedback to the V5 Release Candidate.  New Features of ASL V5 Astaro Security Linux V5 includes two major new capabilities�Intrusion Protection and Virus Protection for the Web�as well as many enhancements that improve security, management, and scalability. Key features of this latest release include:  Intrusion Protection Virus Protection for the Web (HTTP traffic) Transparent POP3 spam protection Improvements to WebAdmin� for even greater ease of use and flexibility Enhanced reporting, with pre-defined metrics and automated report generation Support for symmetric multi-processing (SMP) systems and up to 4GB of memory ISP-uplink failover and dynamic VPN support A detailed description of the new features is included in the package.

[High] Up2Date 5.002 – RC3

Astaro would like to clarify that the 5.002 version of Astaro Security Linux, available on Up2Date 5.002, is Release Candidate #3, not the General Availability Release. RC3 will be split in 2 Up2Date packages for technical reasons, this means that 2 Up2Dates will be released today 5.002 and 5.003 and they both belong to RC3. The GA version will follow soon and it will be 5.005. ASL 5.005 includes some kernel updates and require a reboot.

ASL V5 Release Candidate is Available

Astaro is pleased to announce the availability of the Astaro Security Linux V5 Release Candidate. Thanks to anybody on this board who contributed to this release! We received a tremendous amount of excellent feedback during the past year and during our Beta test.  We are planning to ship the General Availability release within a week. The next few days will give us extra time to validate improvements made in Astaro Security Linux V5 during the final days of beta testing.
