Development Snapshot ASG 6.933

This development snapshot of upcoming ASG V7 shows the latest state of ASG V7 BETA. Besides a lot of fixes and beautification it includes also the promised Initial Install Wizard. The persistent feedback on our UBB and on V7Beta@astaro.com motivated us to release another snapshot of upcoming ASG V7: 6.933 Because of the amount of changes we are not able to provide a Firmware Up2Date package, but you can use your backup file from a previous ASG V7 BETA installation

Up2Date 6.834 for ASG V7 BETA

This is this second Up2Date for ASG V7 BETA. It is again very huge, because we include a new kernel, bug fixes and missing features, like the eDirectory Browser or the Packet Filter Livelog with rule number display:  Please check out the Up2Date details: Basics First of all: thx for your feedback, suggestions, comments, feature requests, bug reports! We got continuously feedback on the UBB and v7@astaro.com and we appreciate everyone's! Also: there is an online Firmware Up2Date and a new ISO image (save your backup first!) the configuration will not be changed the device will reboot! Astaro Secure Client V8.3

We are pleased to announce Astaro Secure Client V8.3 This new release includes the following new features: Integrated WLAN Configuration When using Wireless LAN as connection type you can now directly configure and control the WLAN card from within the Astaro Secure Client. You no longer need to install additional management software from the card vendor (for Windows 2000/XP only) Automatic Media Detection The client now automatically detects all available transmission paths and selects the fastest media depending on specified priorities

CA Certificate expiration date

You use X.509 certificates for VPN connections and you are a loyal user of Astaro Security Gateway? Maybe you should check the expiration date of your CA (Certificate Authority) Certificate, because it has a lifetime of “just” 4 years. If you use X.509 certificates for VPN connections and imported your configuration from a V5 you should check the expiration date of your CA (Certificate Authority) Certificates

ASG Up2Date 6.201 released [Middle]

This Up2Date fixes a problem with the default Surf Protection categories for 6.200-preinstalled appliances. Installations with Up2Date 6.200 are not affected. The Up2Date fixes also some eDirectory issues from version 6.200 and increases the lookup speed dramatically, so all ASG user which uses eDirectory for authentication should install this Up2Date
